As a wedding photographer Yogi has been to all sorts of ceremonies. From civil celebrations to more traditional settings, to white or church weddings. While all weddings are beautiful celebrations, he has confessed there is a certain vibrancy to cultural weddings that is hard to see elsewhere.
He has been opportune to work with a great variety of cultures and religions and participate in their religious ceremonies. He has learned about diverse customs and traditions. From Chinese wedding ceremonies with their beautiful rituals and colourful brides, to the Korean and Indian weddings from Hindu ceremonies to the Bengali and three to seven day celebrations. He has photographed Filipino, Vietnamese weddings. Jewish weddings of different kinds and roots. Traditional European weddings from the Greeks to the Polish and more.
Working with so many cultures and personalities has helped him gain experience dealing with so many different family dynamics across the world. Heunderstands human nature and relationships on a deeper level. Hehad learned to cope and adjust with several cultural views and opinions on many issues. These experiences have taught him patience and open mindedness wherever he finds himself capturing moments. Hence his calm and easygoing demeanour.
Multicultural weddings such as Chinese, Hindu, Christian, Asian weddings and the likes has been covered by Yogi in his wedding voyages in more than three decades of his career as a wedding photographer and one of the things he has learnt is that love conquers all and that no two wedding is the same, each wedding is unique in its own way.
Yogi has shot traditional Christian ceremonies, traditional Muslim celebrations, traditional pagan events as well as Russian weddings and parties. These rich events have made him a better photographer as well as a better human being. That means that he takes each shot with compassion and a deeper knowledge of certain dynamics than usual. He feels honoured to have been a part of so many beautiful events and celebrations. Weddings are a sacred and beautiful thing no matter the form that joining of two as one takes and Global photography is here to capture every beautiful moment.
